Prepare the ties:
Fold in half and press (3/4 inch). Open tie back up.
Fold each edge in to meet middle (3/8 inch/0.375 inch) and press.
Fold in half again, securing raw edges inside and press. Each tie will
be approx. 3/8inch in width.
Assembly:
Align center of tie with side of mask, open tie so edge of mask fits snugly inside. Pin.
Sew tie to mask, seam will be very short, get as close as able while still catching all fabric. You
are just attaching the mask to the tie at this point, not sewing the whole tie yet.
Repeat for other tie and other side of mask.
Sew down edges of tie, securing raw edges inside. Seam is very short. You will stitch over where
mask is already attached. This is good because it helps reinforce. Repeat for other tie and other
How to make a Face Mask with Elastic
Materials same as above with addition of Rope Elastic, beading cord elastic will work (you may also

few stitches forward and back.
4. Now sew across that top of the mask to the next corner. Again put an elastic with the edge out.

NEW SHORTEN LIST OF ACCECTED CARTRIDGES: Only HP, some Canon, and about 9 Collins brands are accepted now! List of Acceptable Ink Cartridges for Recycling
NO OTHER ITEMS CAN BE RECYCLED: We use to send cell phones, IPads, eBook Readers, GPS’, MP3 Players, Video games, etc. NOT ACCEPTABLE anymore and if we do, she states we may be ‘jeopardizing the future of the recycling co and if there are too many they will be deducted from’ our ‘shipment proceeds’.
ONLY cartridges from the new list are accepted. The new list will be on the website soon.
• “Remanufactured For”, refilled cartridges, “Compatible With” are NOT accepted for recycling. Send only the virgin cartridges. I know this is challenging, since it is not always apparent if a cartridge has been remanufactured or refilled. You can look on the box to see if it notes that it is remanufactured. Also, some companies like Office Depot, Staples, Walgreen’s, etc., remanufacture and/or refill cartridges. So, if that is noted somewhere on the cartridge, it is not accepted for recycling.
Thanks again for all your recycling efforts.
