Throughout this biennium cycle of grant distribution, we have been in awe about how God works! This is no exception as mite money came into the district enough to pay the 6th grant before it was anticipated to happen. On March 8, a check for $25,000 was presented to A Place of Refuge Ministries of South Wisconsin, Inc. Receiving the check from LWML President Cinda Poppe is Board of Directors President Pastor Don Hougard and Executive Director Deaconess Grace Rao. Friends from LWML SWD and A Place of Refuge were present for the presentation as well. This money was requested in order to do interior remodel of the Refuge House which is a residence for pregnant women as they prepare for the birth of their children and up to a year following. For over twenty years this mercy ministry has survived through the goodness of God's people including the mites from South Wisconsin District LWML. Praise God for the ministry, the house, the board of directors and staff as it continues to be a light for life for years to come.
